The Certificate in Theology and Pastoral Ministry (CTPM) and CTPM Honours
The Certificate in Theology and Pastoral Ministry (CTPM) and the CTPM (Hons) aim to fulfill two purposes: to provide theological training in the Tongan language and to prepare men and women for Christian ministry, in its widest definition, within Tonga and in Tongan communities overseas.
The Diploma in Theology (DipTheo)
The Diploma in Theology is a foundational programme of theological study conducted mainly in English. It aims basically to prepare students for service in areas of Christian ministry. It also aims to facilitate students with foundational knowledge and skills for further theological studies. Students who have done well in the Certificate in Theology and Pastoral Ministry with Honours can continue their studies by enrolling in this programme.
The Bachelor of Divinity (BD) and BD Honours (BD Hons.)
The Bachelor of Divinity and BD Hons are undergraduate degree programs and they are conducted in English. The main aim of these programmes is to equip students for advanced theological studies. It aims also at providing foundational knowledge for theological study within an intellectually critical framework. Students who have done well in the Diploma in Theology can, by the approval of the Faculty meeting, continue their studies by enrolling in this programme.
